Consumers must require assistance with activities of daily living or skilled care and be self- directing or have a designated representative that is willing and able to direct care as per the program's requirements.

Does the Personal Assistant Require Any Kind of Special Training or Schooling?

No. The caregiver will not need any kind of formal training, license or certificate to be employed.

What Duties Can a Caregiver Perform?

Needs met by the CDPAP program include assistance in feeding, dressing, house cleaning, personal hygiene, basic medical needs, transportation to and from medical appointments, and any other task with which the patient directs his/her aide to help him/her with.
